Europe Qualification
This is what I understand, please delete if wrong.

We have secured Europe next year.
We can only finish 6th or 7th.

6th gets us straight into group stages of the Europa League.
7th gets us into a 2 leg play off at the end of August to qualify for the groups of the Europa Conference League.

If we get 1 point or more we finish 6th. If we lose and Spurs lose we finish 6th. If we lose and Spurs draw we get 6th.
If we lose and Spurs win we go down to 7th.
Everton cannot pass us. If we lose and Everton win, both teams will be on the same points but Everton have a goal difference of 4 and will not pass our goal difference of 12.

Good position.
I hope we get 6th, but it is West Ham.
Good season.

Villareal got 2 club points for their win last night. As there were 7 teams from Spain that qualified for Europe last season, then those club points get divided by 7 to add to the country coefficient for this season. The country coefficient applied to the clubs for next season is the average over the last 5 seasons - which all works out to not a lot added and the Spanish clubs are now on 19.571.

Similarly when Man Utd or Chelsea win the Champs, then the English coefficient will go up by not a lot as well.

Real Betis stay where they are in the Europa.

The ruling is that winners of Champs or Europa, if they didn't qualify for Champs but did for one of the others - then their place gets converted to Champions League - all other positions in that league stay the same.

Their play off place that they had in the Conference means that some clubs from other countries come in one qualifying round later.

The Spuds should be relived that they won't be facing "The Yellow Submarine".

Think Real Betis now drop into conference cup due to Villarreal winning Europa league

Re: Europe Qualification
We would be seen as a cunt of a draw out of pot three. If we find out form from earlier in the season in this competition we could do alright.

Cheers. Hopefully pot 2 then.

Worth remembering the 3rd place teams drop into the Conference.

To add perspective to those coefficients, we beat Leicester twice during 20-21.

6 have to come down and there is only spot unknown that could be below us - the champions of the Danish league (depending on who that is.)

Re: Europe Qualification
I dunno the difference it would make if Villereal beat Man Utd in the Europa League final.

England West Ham United CC: >20.028
Spain Real Sociedad CC: ≥19.542
Spain Real Betis CC: ≥19.542

Both Spanish teams might then overtake us.

Re: Europe Qualification
I think only a handful of those will drop down, the majority (should) qualify.

I'd be surprised if we drop down to the 3rd seed pot.

Still teams to be added in Pot 1 territory

Last year the divide between Pot 2 and 3 was 20.456.

Our coefficient depends on what Man U do in the Europa League Final still.

It is.

And we will get 20ish co-efficient points based on our federation (Ie.not on our own record, the 1.50 points we had from our last time in Europe will fall off next year - not that it made any difference.)

That will put us in Pot 2 or 3 or has in the past.

Napoli will almost certainly be Pot 1 with 74 points.
